1. Adding TVs diodes to the signal and power lines can prevent the microprocessor or microcontroller from failure due to transient pulses, such as electrostatic discharge effect, surge of AC power supply and noise of switching power supply.
2. The electrostatic discharge effect can release pulses of more than 10000v and 60A for 10ms; However, general TTL devices will be damaged when they encounter 10V pulses exceeding 30ms. The TVS diode can effectively absorb the pulse that may cause device damage and eliminate the interference caused by switches between buses.
3. Placing the TVS diode between the signal line and the ground can avoid unnecessary noise impact on the data and control bus.
