What is a high-voltage electronic diode?

 

 

A high-voltage diode is a rectifier diode with a voltage exceeding 1000 V. Low leakage and impact resistance of the high-voltage diode make it wildly used in power supplies, high voltage transformers, and electronic ballasts. Classification of high-voltage diodes

A Brief Analysis of the Production Process of Schottky Diodes

 

As we all know, the Schottky diode uses the Schottky structure, which plays a huge advantage in some special applications. Follow me to Liantuo, and let's see how the Schottky diode was born.

The production technology of international diodes is now very mature and transparent, and the vast majority of Schottky diodes use silicon wafers as the substrate. Grinding and polishing the substrate is the first process step, we remove impurities and ensure the smoothness of its surface.Then, the silicon wafer is thoroughly cleaned to remove organic matter and dirt from the surface in preparation for subsequent operations.

Next, the starch film needs to be peeled off. This is a soluble film material, the purpose of which is to form a film on the surface of the silicon wafer to protect the surface of the silicon wafer and act as a shield in other process steps. We then added an acidic solution to strip the starch film, resulting in a flat silicon wafer.

In the back-side deposition step, a back contact electrode is formed, usually using metal materials such as aluminum and copper to improve the conductivity of the circuit structure.
